Founded by journalist and creative strategist Anjelica Smilovitis, Press Road Media combines storytelling, psychology and strategic thinking to help businesses communicate with purpose. With a degree in Psychological Science, an extensive background in business and years spent working across media, Anjelica understands that successful marketing isn’t about forcing growth—it’s about creating the right conditions for your brand to take root, connect with people and flourish over time.

A big part of Anjelica’s creative philosophy is inspired by nature. Just like a garden, a brand needs attention, consistency and the right environment to grow.

Growth isn’t something you force. It’s something you cultivate.

Anjelica’s approach to communication was shaped through years of working with content, storytelling and community-building. From writing for publications including Elephant Journal and the Greek Herald, to working as a regional journalist with Seven West Media, she developed a deep understanding of how stories connect people, shape conversations and bring ideas to life.

She later founded and grew two hiking communities, Women Who Hike Australia and We Hike WA, bringing hundreds of people together across Western Australia and growing an online community of almost 10,000 people. Through writing, photography and digital storytelling, she learned how authentic communication can inspire engagement and bring people together.

Today, she brings those same skills to her clients.

Anjelica works closely with businesses, organisations and individuals to uncover the stories, ideas and opportunities already existing within their brand. She takes the time to understand what your audience needs, what makes your work valuable and how to communicate it in a way that feels authentic, engaging and memorable.

While she stays across emerging trends, platforms and technologies, her philosophy remains simple: the strongest brands aren't built by doing everything. They're built by doing intentional things consistently.
